As food intolerance becomes more widely accepted and understood, lots of people are beginning to associate poor health with what they are eating. However, just because some foods affect one person, this doesn’t mean that it will be the same for everyone, and trying to find out which other foods trigger your symptoms can be like finding a needle in a haystack! Food intolerance, or sensitivity, has been linked to many chronic and persistent problems such as: headaches, intestinal symptoms, skin problems, behavioral changes, asthma, Bloating, Depression, Arthritis, Migraines, Tiredness, Chronic Fatigue, Hyperactivity, Fluid Retention, Sinusitis, IBS, Nausea, and Aches & Pains. The foodSCAN tests measure specific IgG antibodies to identify foods to which you may be sensitive. The presence of IgG antibodies indicates a possible sensitivity to a particular food. This test determine’s whether or not your symptoms you have may be affected by the food you eat. It does not provide a list of different foods, but gives you a positive or negative result. If negative, then you can rule out food as the problem. If you get a positive result, you can choose to ‘upgrade’ your Indicator test to the 113 foodSCAN test. We will then arrange for your blood sample to be analysed fully. There is no need to do another test – we can use your original sample if you upgrade within 10 days. If you are not completely sure that food is behind your symptoms, then this is a useful tool to be able to find out. 113 foodSCAN Food Intolerance Test: Grains: • Barley • Buckwheat • Corn(maize) • Gliadi (gluten)** • Millet • Oat • Rice • Rye • Wheat Dairy: • Cow’s milk • Egg – white • Egg – yolk Meat: • Beef • Chicken • Duck • Lamb • Pork • Turkey Fish: • Crustacean mix (crab, lobster, prawn/shrimp) • Mollusc mix (mussel, oyster, scallop) • Oily fish mix (herring, mackerel) • Plaice/sole •Salmon/trout • Tuna • White fish mix (cod, haddock) |
